Abu Dhabi, escape British February!

This is Abu Dhabi. It's so so so hot you think your standing in the blast from a jet engine the whole day long! I got a real fright when a fish nibbled my foot! Those foot spas you get...I was not paid up or ready, and I nearly jumped clean out of two meters of water warmer than your last sauna! I'm thinking of doing a whole set of beaches I wish I was back at instead of in Britain in February! #drawingadayclub #kirsteenlyons #kirsteenlyonsart

I'm creating a drawing a day, for a year, just for the art of it. Today is day 343 and I was up since 6:00 and completely uninspired and without motivation.
I appealed for ideas from my friends and was blown away by the amount of response and the fun, imaginative ideas! So much communication was in itself inspiring. Thank you. I feel like I have good ideas far into the future.
Also thank you Ryan for posting your photos for me to work from. They are all stunning.

Singapore very early in the morning.

Today's is Singapore very early in the morning. I was only here 24 hours and I had my daughter in the pushchair, I would like to go back.

At this time in the morning all the shopkeepers are out cleaning the street in front of their shop, and I don't just mean giving it a sweep, they wash it with buckets of soapy water and scrub it until it's cleaner than some peoples kitchens! And you can't buy chewing gum because that would mess it up again!

Today's is a girl on a horse with a crumbled city on the horizon.

I'm a fan of civilisation, someone else does the farming and I get to draw. I don't think there will be much call for interior fabric design in the even of a zombie apocalypse! However I can ride horses as well as drive cars.

Today's is Liverpool, viewed from across the water in the Wirral.

I lived here for four years and got to love the loyal, humourous people and beautiful tough city.

It's the poorest city in the UK and has the most grade one listed buildings. It's a place of contrasts.

If you go hang out on the bluecoat gallery, stay all day in the café, garden, gallery and art shop, stay all day and then catch a live gig in the evening. Mention me to the light and sound guys, they might sneak you in the back!
