Butterfly

I'm creating a drawing a day for a year, just for the art of it.

Today's is a butterfly. I saw one like this today and two less fancifully patterned ones too.

Boats in fine pen.

I'm creating a drawing a day for a year, just for the art of it.

Today's are some boats, in nice fine bright pens my husband bought me. I love boats, they represent escape to anything, adventure and giving the system the finger.

Today's is a fantasy art picture of a girl seeing the future or some other magic, whatever you want.

Rays

I'm creating a drawing a day for a year, just for the art of it.

Today's is a group of rays. I like to tell anyone who will listen that I've seen these in the wild off the coast of Australia. They are so sure of themselves - wolves of the sea!

A lot of the soil around here is chalk, and was once a beach.

Bamboo, butterfly and scribble!

I'm creating a drawing a day for a year, just for the art of it.

Today's is a butterfly on bamboo.

I am making it up as I go and I seem to have scribbled all over this one 30 seconds before it was finished. I'm completely mystified as to why I did this, as before the scribble it was a nice tight, perfectly acceptable drawing! Perhaps it makes it? I'm honestly not too sure!

The beauty of doing a drawing a day is it doesn't really matter if it's a good idea or not, I can just try it, there are loads more to go, and no money related deadline on my back. :)

Owl on brown paper. Bird of prey.

I'm creating a drawing a day for a year, just for the art of it. And getting better with the practice! I'm really pleased with this owl!
