Landscape with white line

I'm creating a drawing a day, for two years, just for the art of it.
What other things last two years?
Today's is a landscape.
Where does it look like to you?

Fish, I like them and it's my drawing, so there!

I'm creating a drawing a day, for two years, to practice, inspire others and grow as an artist. I am fully fed up doing it at the moment, but I know from experience that if I hang in there I will get interested again soon.

Fish

I'm creating a drawing a day, just for the art of it.
Today's is fish. #drawingadayclub

Water and fish have long been associated with wisdom and spiritual enlightenment, I also tend to associate boats and the sea with freedom, perhaps that is why I return to these subjects again and again. "Don't stir up prejudice for gain, sit by the carp pool and look for tolerance to praise in others." Or some such message! 😂

Blue grey water

Today I paddled in the place where blue meets grey, and skimmed stones across to gold! #drawingadayclub

Wave

I'm creating a drawing a day, just for the art of it.
Today's is a wave. As a kid I was mesmerised by the waves in Asterix and Obelix, then as a young woman I found Hakusai prints on a gallery in Munich and stood transfixed so long they began to wonder if I was researching for a heist! Four years living on the coast did not satisfy my fascination with each and every breaker! #drawingadayclub

Mother's beach, Mornington, Melbourne, Australia

I'm creating a drawing a day for a year, just for the art of it.

Today's is mother's beach (so called because it is sheltered, and slopes out very gently). The little town of Mornington is Victorian, Australian style, so it looks like an American old west town, painted in Brighton beach hut colours!  We found many many starfish. Jasmine and I love this spot.

Waterfall, ok I confess, I'm a little obsessed with waterfalls

I'm creating a drawing a day for a year, just for the art of it.

Today's is a waterfall. I have done several waterfalls, but like the raw power, the eternalness, more and more and more water wearing away stone. It reassures me that the natural world is still a force to be reckoned with, we still have abundance, we simply need integrity and organisation to have a healthy world.

Water lilies and gold fish.

I'm creating a drawing a day for a year, just for the art of it.

Today's is water lilies and goldfish.

No need to get too hung up on "the colours things are" look closely and they are often not the colours we traditionally associate with them. Look out for a brown tree trunk and you soon realise that they are usually grey, green black or silver in various combinations.

Here are water lilies that are not green, water that is not blue and goldfish that are not orange (I admit that one is artistic licence as they sure are orange!) I hope you like it.
